Product Overview

You may have a dew point issue even if you have an existing central air drier with your compressed air system and filtration, but still have water going into your compressed air-operated device.

Dew point is the temperature at which water vapor in your compressed air is no longer vapor, and condenses to a liquid form. You can have free-flowing water in your air delivery system if enough condensation forms.

Leaks, system design or the nature of the compressed air operated device can have condensation if the dew point, for whatever reason changes by the time the air reaches its intended application or is simply not low enough.

In using compressed air for “breathing”, or for plastic drying it can be a problem if the dew point rises beyond a certain level during compressed air transmission to the point of use.

If vortex tubes are used and, if the dew point is not low enough, ice crystals can temporarily form inside some designs and cause intermittent operation.

The Nex Flow® Super Dry dew point lowering system is for point of use applications and is installed after your filtration system prior to the device consuming the compressed air.

The single tower or inline systems are a low-cost solution with replaceable cartridges that utilize quality moisture absorbing material to lower the dew point to an acceptable level.

If particulate and existing water in the compressed air delivery system is a problem it is suggested to review your filtration system. If the existing filtration system is not addressing this issue adequately, consider the Nex Flow® Super Separator

Specifications

Point of Use DryersSingle Tower Units D Series single tower desiccant air dryer is used for point-of-use and intermittent flow compressed air applications.   Wet compressed air enters the off-set inlet creating a centrifugal action to separate and trap water droplets. The flow subsequently passes around a polypropylene coalescing element, felt pads, and stainless-steel grids to remove solid particulates.  The air flows upward through a sewed filtration desiccant bag that acts as a sponge to absorb moisture.  Finally, the air flows through the second stage of filtration to eliminate any desiccant dust.  This 3-stage action efficiently provides separation, filtration, and drying. The Moisture Gauge indicates saturation and indicates when to replace the desiccant.  Replacement is quick and easy with the stainless-steel clamp.  The rust-free powder-coated aluminum housing includes built-in brackets.

The D-Series is a single tower unit that handles airflow up to 300 SCFM at 100 PSIG

Point of Use DryersThe ATD Series is an in-line compressed air dryer designed for point-of-use applications. The in-line dryer will remove water and moisture from compressed air, making it perfect for air tools, pneumatic equipment, blow-off products, vortex tube operated devices, and other instruments that require dry air.  The replaceable cartridge consists of activated alumina in a sewed bag.  The In-line Dryer cartridge is easily and quickly replaced with no tools, and there is no handling of the desiccant material. The dryer is ideal for intermittent use with a very low-pressure drop.
