Compressed Air Filter
Compressed air filtration is essential for operating a compressed air system effectively.
Importantly the oldest and still most reliable versions are filters utilizing a cartridge with a membrane designed to remove.
- one of, or a combination of
- water
- oil
- and particulate.
In addition, don’t forget that different industries and applications demand a minimum level of filtration.
Of course, for most factory operations (apart from food and pharmaceutical applications that demand much tighter levels of filtration. Not to mention especially regarding bacterial level control). Sometimes, filtration requires about 10 to 25 microns for moisture and particulate removal.
Importantly Nex Flow compressed air filter provides water and particulate removal filters with 5-micron filtration. Thus, ensuring extra protection from dirt buildup in their products.
In the same way, considerations apply if oil is a concern from the compressed air system. And this may be the case when lubrication systems are used with some equipment.
Oil removal filters are offered to remove oil particulate down to 0.3 microns. A water removal filter is installed first to remove the larger particulate size. Additionally, the oil removal filter is installed after to remove any oil mist.
Compressed Air Filter
This way, we ensure that air nozzles, safety air guns, air jets, air amplifiers, air knives, air-operated conveyors, or vortex tube technology are clean and dry for long-lasting operation.
- The compressed air filter is a point-of-use filter.
- i.e., installed just upstream from the device using compressed air.
Also, after the air compressors, there may be significant air treatment in the form of air driers, large-capacity air separators, and filters. Remember, there can still be problems within the compressed air delivery system, causing moisture and debris to collect and be taken to the point of use location.
Therefore the compressed air filter is desirable always to have a point-of-use filter installed.
