Brass Generator for Vortex Tubes
Brass material is used in the vortex tubes to allow them to be used in environments where plastic generators may not hold up well, such as in applications where the environment can be extremely hot. The generators are also machined to a much higher tolerance than plastic generators that are usually injection molded.
That variation in tolerance can cause large variations in performance between parts. These are what control the spinning of the compressed air supply into the vortex tube to make it start to work. They all have grooves that accept the incoming compressed air.
The deeper the grooves, the larger the compressed air consumption.
There are two types of them for vortex tubes.
- One range is designed for a maximum cooling effect, and a second range produces the coldest temperatures. In the majority of applications, the maximum cooling effect is the most appropriate such as for control panel cooling and cooling items such as industrial cameras and sensors placed in hot factory environments.
- The versions designed for maximum cold temperatures are for applications where the actual temperature is most important. This can, for example, be important in gas analysis and for laboratory and production testing of products that require a certain cold temperature test to ensure quality standards in the production with specific equipment used in operation.
They can be easily cleaned as necessary.
