Side Mount Kit for Panel Cooler is generally mounted on the top of electrical and electronic cabinets. Thus allowing the natural movement of cold air down into the Panel. And this displaces hot air, which moves up and out through the venting system built into the Panel Cooler.

Sometimes, installed control panels need more room at the top of the electrical or electronic control cabinet to mount the Nex Flow Panel Cooler.

• We must mount the Frigid-X Panel Cooler vertically to maintain NEMA approvals.

If the top of the cabinet mounting is not possible, they may be mounted either at the side of the enclosure with the side mount kit. As warm air rises and cold air falls, it makes sense to mount the Panel Cooler either at the top or at least as near the top of the control panel as possible to fit into the limited space available. 

Side Mount Kit for Panel Cooler

The side mount is connected through a standard electrical knockout and secured with a lock ring by threading the Panel Cooler into the outside top of the side mount. The side mount has a brass tube at the exit that will extend into the electrical Panel, which is the same size as the one on the Panel Cooler. 

Then the hose distribution kit, which distributes the cold air from the Panel Cooler, can be easily attached to the brass tube with the hose clamp supplied if connected to the Panel Cooler. 

Stringing the hose kit across the top, then around the inside of the control panel with holes drilled to direct the cold air onto the hot spots as required. 

With some holes drilled at the top part of the hose aimed down inside the Panel, preventing hot air stratification and even cooling within the electrical enclosure is guaranteed.
