The older designs of Nex Flow®  Air Nozzles are quite efficient at converting pressure to flow.  In fact, as flow amplifiers, they are actually better for “cooling” as they have less force/CFM, but more flow/CFM than more engineered nozzles like the Nex Flow® Air Mag® series.  The Air Mag® series of nozzles utilize some patented features to create the highest force/CFM of any air nozzle we know of.

All Nex Flow Air Nozzles meet OSHA standard CFR 1910.242(b) for dead end pressure and noise levels are dramatically lower in addition to having lower energy use.

Air Nozzle Model :

47001

Model 47001 is designed to fit into small spots and is used by many machine builders for blow-off applications.

47002

Model 47002 is the brass nozzle added to a copper tube. Machine builders can bend the copper tube and aim the nozzles to wherever it suits. The copper tube is simply press fit into the customer’s system.

47003

Model 47003 (anodized aluminium) Model 47003S (303/304 Stainless Steel) and Model 47003S-316L (316L Stainless Steel) – These are common standard strength nozzles with a 1/8” male NPT connection and ideal for most blow-off applications involving liquids.

New Energy Efficient Blow-off

Model 47003SM-316L (316L Stainless Steel) mini nozzle ideal for tight spaces. Comes with a 1/8″ make NPT connection with very efficient design and high force level.

47004

Model 47004 (anodized aluminium) Model 47004S (303/304 Stainless Steel) and Model 47004S-316L (316L Stainless Steel) – These are strong force nozzles with a 1/4” male NPT connection and ideal for most blow-off applications involving liquids and even light weight parts.

Model 4700

Model 47004F (anodized aluminum) and Model 47004FP (PEEK body and top with aluminum sleeve) – These are strong force nozzles with a 1/4” female NPT connection and ideal for most blow-off applications involving liquids and even light weight parts.

47009S

Model 47009 (anodized aluminium) Model 47009S (303/304 Stainless Steel) and Model 47009S-316L (316L Stainless Steel) Are made adjustable. The superior design of the adjustable set screw is made to adjust the nozzles within their weakest and strongest ranges.

47010

Model 47010 is extremely powerful. It has a 1/4” female NPT fitting and is fully anodized for long life. With the ‘coanda’ profile you get an extremely strong force at a distance. This is ideal for blow guns and for blowing small parts for part ejection heavier viscosity liquids. The 47010 is a higher force, Nozzle but has less distance for laminar flow than the 47004.

How Air Nozzles Works

For the Standard Air Nozzles Models 47001, 47002, 47003, 47003S, 47003S-316L, 47004, 47004S, 47004S-316L, 47009, 47009S, 47009S-316 they work utilizing the Coanda effect by entraining surrounding air along wit the compressed air that exists a ring of holes around the bottom of the nozzle.  Compressed air enters at point (A).   Surrounding air (B) is entrained over the specially designed profile surface by the action of the small amount of compressed air leaving the ring gaps at point (C). This results in a concentrated high velocity, laminar flow stream of amplified air.   With this deign energy normally lost as pressure drop and noise is recovered and converted into useful high energy flow.   The standard air nozzles provide the best flow/unit air consumption and are best suited for light blow off and for cooling applications.  Savings in compressed air compared to open pipe is around 30%.

The Standard Air Nozzles are low cost solutions to many blow off applications when light blow off is adequate.  Always use filters compressed air to make sure the air supply remains clean and dry.   Wherever there is an open tube or pipe, these air nozzles are a very lost cost way to reduce noise, reduce energy and improve safety as dead end pressure is below 30 PSIG and meets OSHA safety standards.

Materials vary in how the nozzles are made.  The Model 47001 and 47002 is made of brass.  Stainless steel is available on special order.  The other sizes are anodized aluminum, 304 stainless steel and 316L stainless steel for food and pharmaceutical applications.
