Removing debris from blind or deep holes is an essential yet risky task. Nozzles typically blow into deep pits, splashing out waste and making a mess. Thus, creating a challenge in automated systems. Using manual effort makes for a messy and dangerous operation requiring protective gear to avoid injury.

It is developing the  Blind Hole Cleaning System to improve safety and minimize or eliminate issues. They have appeared where a nozzle blows into a deep hole. A vacuum then draws the material removed, taking it away. 

However, that does not work well because you fight the blowing action with the vacuum action.

This new system uses only a decisive blowing action and a venturi effect to draw out dust and debris, specifically from deep holes, especially in drilled parts that are hard to clean safely.

As of January 2021, the improved system has a much better air gun and redesigned adapters for various diameters of blind holes.

In November 2021, Nex Flow improved the product again with a superior safety seal. We accomplished this by adding the hole adapter and forming a part of the adapter. Allow sealing of the contact point between the Blind Hole Cleaner and clean the piece quickly.

The adjustment not only secures against any leakage of air and material, improving safety and workplace cleanliness but also better isolates cleaning the blind hole for improved cleaning action and performance.

And it also allows for cleaning even deeper holes to the depth of 27 inches!

We are designing it to cover the hole to address safety issues while blowing compressed air into the cavity through specially designed nozzles. 

It means that all the material in the deep, blind hole ends up in an attached, removable collection bag. 

No material is blown around the part or facility, allowing for a cleaner and safer cleaning operation. Also, the improved design is more powerful, user-friendly, rugged, and ideal for the most demanding applications. 

The Blind Hole Cleaning System consists of three specially made parts: the Gun assembly, an adapter with a new safety seal for the appropriate diameter of the hole to be cleaned, and the nozzle for the particular depth range of the spot. The Cleaning Kit includes all the hole diameter adapters, all nozzles, and a water removal filter with auto drain.

For non-manual systems that can be used in automated drilling systems, the Blind Hole Semi-Automated Cleaning System is now available to be used on machinery where a computerized cleaning device is preferred over the manual operation for cleaning a blind hole. Instead of using the air supply gun in manual cleaning operations, these systems utilize the primary attachment with the appropriate adapter for the hole diameter.

The same nozzles used in the manual methods are employed.   Compressed air is supplied directly to the unit and turned on/off as the customer desires in their design using appropriate times, sensors, and solenoid valves. Nex Flow can assist in this area with accessories and plan for a nominal additional cost should the customer require assistance.
