Stainless Steel Shim Kit For Ring Blade Air Wipes. Nex Flow only uses stainless steel shims. However, many others offer only plastic shims.  Even with filtration, dirt and debris can still enter a compressed air line. And they eventually wear away the shims, needing to replace them.

In most cases, one shim set in a Ring Blade air wipe is adequate.

Still, for very high speeds, rough surfaces with high surface tension, dealing with difficult-to-remove material using compressed air, or where you cannot get close to the surface of the material that needs to be dried and/or cleaned, you may need to add additional shims to the Ring Blade air wipe which will increase the force emitted from the product.

This is sometimes down when a wide range of diameters needs to be addressed on one production line, and interchanging units are either difficult or not practical.
